Brake caliper are an essential part of a vehicle’s braking system and are mounted on the wheels. Brake calipers are used in many types of motorized or non-motorized vehicles such as cars, motorcycles, and bicycles. Its main function is to slow down and stop the wheels during braking.

Brake calipers consist of a metal body located on both sides of the brake disc and firmly attached to the disc. Inside there are frictional surfaces called brake pads or brake pads. The brake pads come into contact with the brake disc, slowing the wheel’s rotation and causing the vehicle to come to a stop.

When the brake pedal is depressed, brake fluid or air pressure is sent to the brake caliper. This pressure presses the brake pads against the disc, creating friction and stopping the wheel from turning. Brake calipers cause the vehicle to slow down and stop by affecting the rotation of the wheels. You can contact us in the caliper guides.
